How To Love:::: LilTunechi
If I wasn't already a fan of this dude, LilTunechi (Lil Wayne) I'd definitely would be a fan after hearing this song...How To Love. This song pulled at my heart strings the first time I heard it. For several reasons, (1) It was *bleep* free, I didn't hear alot of explicit lyrics so I didn't have to turn down the volume around my kids. (2) It sounded so sincere, like he was singing the lyrics from his heart. I love songs with passion and depth. (3) I could identify with the lyrics. Not that I've have issues loving a man because I am currently VERY in love and have been for almost 2 decades with hubz *swoon*. I consider myself to be very fortunate in that area. SO GRATEFUL. My issue is more so with women. I have always had trust issues with women. I will meet a super cool gal and almost immediately retreat and/or find a way to become distant and withdrawn. I seem to have difficulty letting my guard down and giving my heart in friendships. I have had the same circle of friends for so long which are predominately family members(my besties are my cousin and sister).
I don't know what angle Weezy F. Baby was coming from when he wrote this song but I'm sure we can all relate in some way or another. Maybe from low self esteem, a broken heart and/or issues trusting men or women...or maybe just not knowing how to love. I am choosing not to let betrayal and disappointments deter me from loving and building. Everyone is different, not every person you meet is out to break you down. Encouraging you all, including myself to learn how to love...AGAIN.

What are You Reading? Empire State of Mind: How Jay-Z Went from Street Corner to Corner Office
Well, I'm not currently reading this book right this second but it is in my cart as we speak on Amazon dot com. That counts right? LOL! I purchased Decoded for the hubster and he packed it around like a manual...I plan to surprise him with this one also. I need to sit down and read it myself because I am a HUGE Jigga fan...Not falling for the mumbo-jumbo that's been circling the blogs about Mr. Carter...just don't believe the hype about him being in a cult. I'll believe it when I see it. Anywhooo, the reviews on this book are below:
=======
"Fascinating, well-done biography of one of the most extraordinary entrepreneurs of our era."
-Steve Forbes
"Zack O'Malley Greenburg has become one of the rare reporters to bring dignified coverage of the hip-hop business into the mainstream. Empire State of Mind is a pure product of Greenburg's care and insight, an exploration of hip-hop's most enigmatic mogul, Jay-Z."
-Dan Charnas, author of The Big Payback: The History of the Business of Hip- Hop
"Empire State Of Mind follows the money and key pieces of the Jay-Z puzzle in this insightful, savvy read. From Jay's humble Bed-Stuy Brooklyn roots as Shawn Carter into street crime and the drug game, to his rocket rise to the heights of hip-hop and the music business as one of entertainments most successful players...this book is like a GPS leading us through the modern urban reality of how Jay-Z's empire was built."
-Fred "Fab 5 Freddy" Brathwaite, hip-hop pioneer, artist, and longtime host of Yo! MTV Raps
"Lively and often surprising, Empire State Of Mind analyzes one of the greatest assets of the hip-hop generation: the business mind of Jay-Z. In capturing Jay-Z's refuse to lose mentality, Zack O'Malley Greenburg tells an important, instructive American story of our time."
-Jeff Chang, author of Can't Stop Won't Stop: A History of the Hip-Hop Generation

Jennifer Hudson on the set of 'Where You At?' !!

More pics from the set of Jennifer Hudson’s new song “Where You At“!
Here’s a first listen of Jennifer Hudson’s new song “Where You At“!
The ballad, written by R. Kelly and produced by Harvey Mason Jr., is off the 29-year-old singer’s upcoming sophomore album I Remember Me, out March 22.
“This song to me is like what I always wanted to do vocally. As an aspiring writer, just the subject of it means so much to me. It’s simple and it’s something we say every day,” Jennifer shared.

Jennifer Lopez's Twins, Max & Emme model for Gucci!!! ADORABLE

Jennifer Lopez and her 3-year-old twin tots, Max and Emme star in the new campaign for Gucci’s new children’s line.

Jennifer Lopez and her twins Max and Emme struck a pose for Gucci's upcoming children's line. As part of the campaign, the fashion house has also given $1 million to UNICEF's Schools for Africa and $50,000 to Lopez's Maribel Initiative.
Lopez told UsMagazine.com, "Now there are two Gucci spokesbabies for a beautiful cause!" She added, "Emme picks out her own outfits and likes to sleep in her princess dress. It's hard to get Max dressed. He prefers to run around the house with no clothes on."
The new children's collection - represented by the iconic Gucci teddy bear - is divided into two age ranges from 0 to 2 years and 2 to 8 years and will be available in selected Gucci directly operated stores, department and specialty stores from November onwards. The collection comprises apparel, shoes, small leather goods, footwear (up to size 33) and selected accessories, including jewelry, sunglasses, scarves and blankets.
In celebration of its partnership with UNICEF and the launch of its new children's collection Gucci has pledged a further US$ 1 million to UNICEF's ‘Schools for Africa’ initiative with a specific focus on Mozambique and Malawi, where Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini travelled with UNICEF in November 2009 to see firsthand how Gucci’s donations are helping children.
Gucci’s new $1 million donation to UNICEF education programs in Malawi and Mozambique will support activities including constructing classrooms, equipping schools with play areas and clean water and proper sanitation facilities, and implementation of health, nutrition and hygiene programs.As well as making US$ 250,000 of the US$ 1 million pledge in Jennifer Lopez's name, Gucci is also donating US$ 50,000 to her non-profit organization The Maribel Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of women and children, and raising the level of medical care available to them.
