Vagabond Van...Eco-Friendly Fabulosity on Wheels!

Vagabond Van was born from a desire to dress in a unique way. Eclectic, colourful and one-of-a-kind, we offer clothes and accessories which are as individual as you are. Vagabond Van began as a mobile boutique, operating from a 1952 Flying Cloud Airstream caravan. The Airstream may be parked for now but the online shop is in top gear!

These one-of-a-kind earrings are made in Zimbabwe from cow horn and bone by an enterprising man called Joseph. He has invented a machine which helps him to carve and buff the horn and bone, bringing out the beauty of these natural materials and giving the earrings their polished finish. These designs are exclusive to Vagabond Van.

Fabulous, environmentally concious, eclectic threads!

"Our current collection hails from Africa and is infused with the creative spirit of this vibrant continent. Wherever possible, our products are made by hand. This helps to maintain, otherwise vanishing, traditional crafts and creates many more jobs, which in turn helps to keep communities self sufficient. The materials that we use are often ingeniously recycled, adding to the unique story which each piece has to tell and minimising its effect on the environment. "
Part of the Vagabond Van team is currently traveling the world, searching for new and extraordinary products. These come in all the time so keep checking the website for new stock or like their Facebook Facebook Page and be the first to know. You can follow their travels at The Vagabond Adventures.

Beyonce Teams Up With the First Lady to get Kids MOVING!

Physical activity is an essential component of a healthy lifestyle. In combination with healthy eating, it can help prevent a range of chronic diseases, including heart disease, cancer, and stroke, which are the three leading causes of death. Physical activity helps control weight, builds lean muscle, reduces fat, promotes strong bone, muscle and joint development, and decreases the risk of obesity. Children need 60 minutes of play with moderate to vigorous activity every day to grow up to a healthy weight.

"I am excited to be part of this effort that addresses a public health crisis. First Lady Michelle Obama deserves credit for tackling this issue directly, and I applaud the NAB Education Foundation for trying to make a positive difference in the lives of our schoolchildren," said Beyonce.

Middle School students all across the nation are scheduled to dance in unison on Tuesday, May 3, at 1:42 p.m. Eastern Time.

Let’s Move! aims to increase opportunities for kids to be physically active, both in and out of school and to create new opportunities for families to move together.

Active Families: Engage in physical activity each day : a total of 60 minutes for children, 30 minutes for adults.

Active Schools: A variety of opportunities are available for schools to add more physical activity into the school day, including additional physical education classes, before–and afterschool programs, recess, and opening school facilities for student and family recreation in the late afternoon and evening.

Active Communities: Mayors and community leaders can promote physical fitness by working to increase safe routes for kids to walk and ride to school; by revitalizing parks, playgrounds, and community centers; and by providing fun and affordable sports and fitness programs.

Spring is in the AIR and in the HAIR!!! I saw this purple tree/bush in full bloom as I was driving home...One of the MANY reasons purple/violet will ALWAYS be my favorite color. Isn't it gorg? :) In these pics I am wearing my Wash -n- Go hairstyle! I washed, conditioned, moisturized my hair and then I was on my way. It was a warm day so my  hair dried pretty fast...I will be wearing my wild child hair in warmer months...I have major shrinkage in these pics! LOL! I love my nappies.
